A fresh protest will get underway in Barna this morning over safety concerns along the R336.
It follows major co-ordinated protests in Barna, Furbo, Inverin and Spiddal last week, demanding immediate action.
Last week's protests saw many hundreds of people take to the R336, a key artery in Connemara.
Parents, teachers, pupils, people dressed as zebras - every effort was made to highlight the treacherous conditions facing those walking or cycling to school.
Discussion is ongoing with Galway County Council about what might be done to address the situation.
But those talks aren't moving fast enough, says the Barna Parents Association, and they're set to hold another walking protest this morning.
It gets underway at 8am, and will set off from Thornberry Road towards Barna National School.
The campaign says without a safe route to school, every child is at risk, and they cannot stand by and wait for a tragedy to happen
