Galway Bay fm newsroom - The City Council has backed plans to get the Connemara greenway up and running ahead of Galway's European Capital of Culture designation in 2020.
The local authority has endorsed the mission statement of the Connemara Greenway Alliance.
City Councillors are also urging their county colleagues to progress the section of the proposed greenway between the city and Moycullen in a bid to enhance the area.
