Galway-based Senator Aisling Dolan has been chosen by Fine Gael to contest the General Election for Roscommon-Galway.
The Ballinasloe-based senator was added to the ticket following a meeting of Fine Gael’s Executive Council.
She'll be on the Roscommon/Galway ballot paper alongside Dympna Daly-Finn - making it an all-female choice for Fine Gael for the Election, expected to take place next month.
The late councillor John Naughten, brother of outgoing Independent TD for the area Denis Naughten, had been selected to contest the area for Fine Gael, but he passed away tragically earlier this month.

Senator Dolan says her goal is to do everything possible to make the area the best place to call home.
