A man in his 50s is to appear in court this morning in relation to a serious assault in Ballinasloe.
Gardaí were alerted to the incident at a home in Ballinasloe on Monday at around 7PM, where a woman in her 50s was found with serious injuries.
She remains in a critical condition in Portiuncula University Hospital
The man, who was arrested yesterday, has been charged and is due to appear before Ballinasloe District Court this morning.
