Motorists urged to use alternative route later this morning as Carnmore lights repair take place

Works will take place later this morning on the traffic lights at Carnmore Cross following damage caused by Storm Eowyn,

Galway County Council says the gantry on the Oranmore leg of the junction has been out of action since the storm almost a month ago.

A Traffic Management Plan will begin at 10AM at Carnmore Cross, and works are expected to be finished by 3pm.

Motorists are being urged to use an alternative route if possible.
