The A-List with Alan Murphy

Alan Murphy  from 3 to 5pm each afternoon Monday to Friday is playing music you love – the newest songs from both Irish and international artists as well as huge hits from the 90s and noughties.

A big part of the afternoon show is the celebrity interview.  Alan’s ‘little black book’ hoards an impressive list of celebrity contacts  and Alan has interviewed everyone from Paris Hilton and Charlise Theron to Janice Dickinson, Jedward to Louis Walsh and brings you closer to the stars on his show than anyone else.   Alan loves nothing more than putting our listeners questions to his guest celebrity,  and encourages all our listeners to get involved and have their say on all aspects of the show.

Happily Ever After our Wedding feature – each Wednesday Nora Gill of The Claregalway Hotel pops in for chat with Alan on all things wedding.

Friday Fashion – Alan reviews what’s hot and what’s not and who who’s wearing it.

About Alan Murphy

Alan is a highly qualified radio presenter and journalist with almost 15 years in the business. He boasts a First Class Honours Degree in journalism and media and has been a popular voice on Galway Bay FM since 2004. As well as that, Alan has had a national and international writing career and has written for some of the biggest showbiz and entertainment publications both here and abroad. He also released his debut book Beyond The Spotlight in 2016, which went on to be a best-seller. A man of many talents, Alan also owns his own successful dancing school – The Murphy Moore Academy of Irish Dance.
Since taking over the afternoons at Galway Bay FM, Alan has already added over 5,000 new listeners with his upbeat brand of radio, and that is sure to continue into next year.
