University of Galway researchers launch website to tackle health misinformation

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Researchers at the University of Galway have launched a website aimed at tackling health misinformation.

iHealthFacts.ie is a resource where people can check the reliability of a health claim circulating on social media or by word of mouth.

The team will answer public queries with the help of advisors from universities and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland along with a panel of Public and Patient Advisors.
