Hildegarde Naughton says HSE to provide medical support for drug users at festivals

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Minister, and Galway West TD, Hildegarde Naughton says the HSE will be present at summer festivals to provide support to drug users.

The HSE has joined up with various organisers to launch its Safer Nightlife Programme ahead of the summer festival season.

Teams of trained volunteers will be at venues to support people who need help if they’ve consumed drugs.

Deputy Naughton, who is Minister for Public Health, Wellbeing and the National Drugs Strategy, says no-one will be judged.
