Public to have say on changes to Portumna draft local area plan

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Members of the public will be able to have their say from today on changes to the draft Local Area Plan for Portumna.
A number of material alterations to the plan are being proposed under planning and development regulations, Article 6 of the EU Habitats Directive and the Birds Directive.
Galway County Council says having screened the proposed alterations, it feels a Strategic Environmental Assessment and an Appropriate Assessment is required.
The plan will be on public display from today at County Hall, Portumna Library and Portumna Area Office – and submissions will be accepted up to Wednesday March the 23rd.
