Galway Bay fm newsroom – A public meeting to help develop a regional approach to address flooding in south Galway will take place next week.
The event is being organised by Galway East Fine Gael T.D, Ciaran Cannon.
It follows the recent approval from An Bord Pleanála to implement a 6 million euro flood relief project for Dunkellin.
The meeting will take place at Sullivan’s Hotel in Gort next Monday at 8.30p.m.
TDs, Anne Rabbitte of Fianna Fáil and Independent Seán Canney are also being invited to attend the meeting.
Deputy Cannon says there needs to be a solution to flooding in south Galway which looks at each local area.
