Plans submitted for new building for Monivea school

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Plans have been submitted to the county council for approval for a new school building in Monivea.

The board of management of Monivea National School has applied for planning permission to demolish the existing school in the townland of Glennagaghaun North.

In its place, the board wants to build a new 2-story, 11-classroom school with roads, parking and a drop off area.

A decision is expected from the county council in May.
