OPW Minister in Ballinasloe to discuss flooding

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, Simon Harris is in Ballinasloe this morning to discuss flood relief measures.

He’s currently on a walkabout and shortly he’ll meet with local representatives and community groups and business owners at the Civic Offices.

The Junior Minister will also review remedial works which were carried out following the serious flooding of 2009.

After visiting Ballinasloe, Minister Harris will travel to Crossmolina in Mayo to meet local groups there.

Minister Harris says flood defences will be discussed during today’s meetings.
