Tony Royliston has been granted planning permission for the development of apartments and a retail unit at the old AIB site in Upper Salthill.
The mixed-use development in the heart of Salthill is subject to 20 conditions.
One condition stipulates that the developer must agree with the city council as to the activity carried out at the retail unit.
Also a detailed waste management plan must be agreed with the planning authority.
The developer must also contribute 35 thousand euro towards the provision of car parking and public transport facilities.
