The day after the general election was officially called, we introduced our new Quickfire Challenge right here on FYI Galway.
With so many debates, news stories and policy launches, we thought it was time to let voters find out more about the person behind the poster.
Each evening we called up some your general election candidates, and asked them a series of computer-randomised quickfire questions designed to help you get to know them better.
As we bid farewell to our Quickfire Challenge for General Election 2016 – Lyndsay Hughes takes us through the highlights…
Thank you to the 36 election candidates in Galway West, Galway East and Roscommon Galway who took part.
Fine Gael candidates for Galway West, John O’Mahony and Hildegarde Naughton were both invited to take part but did not avail of the offer.
Galway East Green Party candidate Mairead Ní Chrónín did not respond to our correspondence, and Independent Galway West candidate Patrick Feeney is non-contactable.
