Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Tuam-based retail management company is creating new jobs after landing a major UK contract worth 2 million euro.
Retail Solutions, which is based in the N17 Business Park, has been selected to provide electronic point of sale systems across the Spar group.
The new system includes an innovative scanning feature to reduce queue times by allowing a member of staff to walk through the store and pre-scan customers items.
Retail Solutions was established in 1995 by Chris O’ Neill and Séamus Quinn, and currently employs 30 people.
General Manager, Jarlath Hennelly, says it’s a major boost for the Tuam company to increase its market share in the UK.
