International construction conference gets underway at GMIT

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Professionals, contractors and academics from the construction sector are gathering for an international conference in the city this morning. (9am)
The annual GMIT International Construction Management Day will focus this year on the national housing crisis, and will be addressed by 15 leading industry speakers from across Ireland and the UK.
Topics to be discussed include social housing needs, the role of the construction industry in the crisis, industry regulation and construction opportunities
The 6th annual conference is taking at GMIT’s Dublin Road campus until 3.45 this afternoon.
