Galway Bay fm newsroom – A status yellow weather advisory has been issued for waves along the west coast due to Storm Imogen.
Motorists are also being urged to watch out for fallen trees and debris on the roads, especially in the Salthill area due to over-topping of waves.
A number of weather warnings are in place due to high winds – with the south west expected to be worst affected.
Last night the storm knocked out power supply to around 2,500 properties across the country.
