Gardai investigating Mountbellew carjacking

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gardaí are investigating a car jacking in the East Galway village of Mountbellew.
The incident happened in the Square in Mountbellew around lunchtime yesterday. (24/3)
The incident happened near the Bridge Bar around 12.30p.m when a man knocked a woman to the ground and bundled her into the Hyundai Santa Fe jeep she was travelling in with her brother.
The culprit drove the SUV with its two occupants in it, to a wooded area of Ballygar where he released them and then made off with the vehicle.
Both the woman and her brother were uninjured but shaken.
