WATERFORD 0-24 GALWAY 1-21
An exciting second half in Walsh Park saw the sides take a point a piece in the last of the league phase of the National Hurling League.
Waterford got off to the better start and always had a couple of points cushion until Niall Burke struck to the net after a great team move to give Galway the lead just before the break.
Both sides exchanged scores and the lead at regular intervals in the second half. Galway had the lead in injury time again this week but couldn’t hold out and it is a second successive draw.
The final tally of 4 league points leaves Galway second from bottom of NHL Division 1A and will now face Cork in the Relegation Playoff in 2 weeks time after the Rebels finished winless for the campaign.
