It was the perfect start for Galway in their 2016 campaign with their first win over Laois in four meetings.
It was a Galway side without a depth of experience but it was an encouraging start to what looks like a very close Allianz Division 2 Group.
Galway Manager Kevin Walsh gave his reaction to the win.
Damien Comer finished with 2-2 to his name, and thinks that good teamwork is the key to the good performance today.
