Galway Bay fm newsroom – Gaelscoil Iarfhlatha in Tuam is set to finally get a new school building.
The go-ahead has been given to proceed to construction for a new town centre 12-classroom school to facilitate up to 200 pupils.
Construction had been delayed for a year because of a legal issue regarding access and pupils attended the temporary school at Tuam Community Centre.
Galway East T.D Ciaran Cannon says the issues have been resolved and the new building for Gaelscoil Iarfhlatha should be complete within a year.
