Boil water notice lifted in Tir an Fhia – Leitir Mor

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A boil water notice which had been in place for Tír an Fhia / Leitir Mór has been lifted.
Following advice from the Health Service Executive, Irish Water and the county council have lifted the notice which was put in place in January after the detection of cryptosporidium.
The notice applies to consumers on the Tír an Fhia Public Water Supply and group water schemes in Leitir Mór, Tír an Fhia, Leitir Caladgh, Leitirmealláin Number 2 and Oileáin an Róis.
Irish Water upgraded the water treatment plant for the area and now the plant meets all drinking water regulations.
